New Artists Submission Procedures :

Koplin Del Rio Gallery normally accepts submissions of portfolios on an ongoing basis.
Each proposal is carefully reviewed by a comitee. Meetings are usually held every 4 - 6 weeks. Oftentimes we will find submitted portfolios very interesting, but will have no immediate space on our exhibition schedule. With the artist's permission, we then keep the proposal on file in the event of a vacancy. We appreciate and value your efforts as an artist, thank you for your interest in the Koplin Del Rio Gallery.-please check above to see if gallery is accepting submissions.

Because of the high number of submissions, we can not review a website as a submission or respond to emailed proposals.  Please do not e-mail unsolicited portfolios to the gallery.  We recommend that artists visit the gallery several times before submitting work.

: Please send :

  • The most important part of your submission will be the visual documentation of your work. Please include a representative selection of slides or photographs of the work you wish to exhibit (5 to 20 images is standard). Each slide or photograph must be labeled with the artist's name as well as the title, date, media, and dimensions of the work. Please also indicate the correct viewing position of the slide with an arrow. We recognize the limitations of slide reproduction, especially with regards to three dimensional work. Do not send original work. Quality prints will be accepted if slides are not available. CD's of digital files are not accepted.
  • Include a current resume listing solo and group exhibitions, education, teaching or professional experience, commissions, and bibliography.
  • In addition, please include an artist statement if available. The artist statement should be a brief reflection of your personal feelings/intentions as an artist, and may or may not include a description of particular processes and media.
  • Any other supplementary material as available (including reviews, promotional material, etc.)
  • A self addressed stamped envelope for the return of materials (SASE).
